I was blessed with the MSK Scholarship on my graduation day. I cannot describe to you the gratitude and honor I felt in that moment. Receiving this gift has inspired me to pursue a minor in music. I will use this music education to go on to be a worship leader at the church I decide to call home one day.

Receiving this scholarship encourage[d] me to keep doing what I do, what I love, and to never give up on my dreams. Thank you so much for this scholarship. God Bless.

The Myah Sue Knecht Scholarship, as established by Guts for Glory Theatre Company, is intended for a student who is consistently involved in his or her high school's fine arts programs and/or plans to further their education in the performing arts.

Myah Sue passed away in December, 2011 after a long and hard fought battle with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG). Although only 4-years-old, Myah impacted many lives and leaves behind a legacy of faith, courage and love that will never be forgotten and will continue to inspire others.

In honor of her love for the performing arts and her dreams of becoming a performer, this scholarship was implemented so that other students can fulfill their goals and dreams.

The first presentation of the Myah Sue Knecht Scholarship was presented to Gahanna Christian Academy senior Caitlin Jacques. During her high school career, Jacques played both lead and supporting roles in each of GCA’s spring plays, and was a recurring act in GCA’s annual talent show. Jacques was also a member of GCA’s high school and select choirs throughout her high school career. Guts for Glory Theatre Company hopes that this scholarship contributes to the fulfillment of her future endeavors.

The MSK Scholarship has been amazing for me. My family is just me and my mom and we both must live on a daycare teacher's salary...I was scared that I would not be able to get what I need to further my education but this scholarship was enough to help me finish paying for the laptop I need for my pursuit of my degree in Cyber Forensics & Information Security. I want to thank G4G and the MSK Scholarship and for believing that I was the right person to receive the scholarship.

I am honored to have received the MSK Scholarship. I am paying for college off of my own savings and a movie theatre job with no financial aid, so scholarships in any size will be a great support in helping me reach my goal of an engineering degree. I see myself always staying involved in music and theatre for the rest of my life. I want to thank G4G not only for this scholarship, but for also shaping a part of who I am ever since the fourth grade.
